The nursery specialises in the cultivation of pointed peppers, an activity for which they have been looking for harvesting trolleys that help to simplify transport. For this, Steenks Service supplied 19 customised Berkvens harvesting trolleys.

Kwekerij Aat en Els van Onselen had some special requirements in place for its pointed peppers. Steenks Service assembled customised harvesting trolleys that met the requirements for transporting pointed peppers. The trolleys were developed using the tomato harvesting trolleys that form part of our range, and converted to work with pointed peppers.

Requirements for pointed pepper harvesting trolleys

The new harvesting trolleys designed for the transport of pointed peppers are shorter than those used for tomatoes. In addition, the top rack has been removed from the trolley and a raised lower rack added. This creates extra space for transporting items, helping to make work easier and more efficient. The trolleys have been made suitable for transporting crates, as these are easier to work with when harvesting pointed peppers. Crates are normally larger than boxes, plus they are sturdier and can be reused.
