De Haas Shipyards uses Stefix cleaning machines to clean the shipyard

The entire De Haas Shipyards site is cleaned daily with Stefix cleaning machines, available from Steenks Service. De Haas Shipyards is a shipyard located in Rotterdam and Maassluis. The large amount of work carried out here every day creates a considerable amount of dust and dirt. To create a clean and safe workplace for staff and others, the shipyard uses a Stefix 150 floor sweeper and a Stefix 1000 Toro floor scrubber every day to ensure a clean and safe place of work for staff and visitors. Using cleaning machines

The shipyard’s floor is cleaned daily with a sweeper and a scrubber to ensure optimal results.

Stefix 150 floor sweeper

The shipyard is a large space to sweep completely clean, even with a machine. With this in mind, De Haas Shipyards chose the largest Stefix sweeper that we had available. The Stefix 150 already has a sweeping width of one metre with the standard brush, but with the brushes on the sides, it can reach a sweeping width of one and a half metres. This gives it a cleaning capacity of 9,000 square metres per hour! With an 88 litre capacity waste container, the entire yard can be swept in one go. As staff can perform this task while seated, sweeping not only saves considerable time, but also the individual employee’s energy.

Stefix 1000 Toro floor scrubber

The Stefix 150 is mostly used clean up dust. Once this is done, the stains can be polished from the floor, which is where the Stefix 1000 Toro comes in. Staff can then complete another round with the machine while seated. The scrubber has a sweeping width of one metre. The nozzle, which is slightly wider, automatically vacuums up all the dirty water immediately. As a result, staff only need to complete a single round.
