Steenks Service helps to build the future of remanufacturing
Last December, Steenks Service had the honour of being a guest at the launch of the South Holland Remanufacturing Roadmap, an initiative of the province of South Holland. The Roadmap offers manufacturing firms a practical seven-step guide to help them to successfully implement remanufacturing as a future-proof business model.
Proud of our contribution to the circular economy!
At Steenks Service, we are committed to extending the service life of our horticultural and industrial machinery. Instead of viewing used machinery as waste, we prefer to give it a second, third or even fourth life. We do this by subjecting used machines to a thorough clean, disassembly, recondition and repaint before reassembling. This approach helps to keep the machinery in top condition for longer, allows customers to enjoy cost savings and helps us to contribute to a more sustainable planet. The fact that the Steenks Service approach is cited in the Roadmap as an example of inspiration for other manufacturing firms is a great compliment for us, and something we are extremely proud of!

Why remanufacturing?
Remanufacturing offers a wide range of benefits for both companies and the industry as a whole. Reusing machinery and components not only helps to mitigate material shortages but also strengthens companiesโ sustainable proposition. Whatโs more, remanufacturing can offer a full-fledged alternative to purchasing new machinery without compromising on quality and warranty. At Steenks Service, we see remanufacturing not just as an opportunity, but as a responsibility to contribute to a sustainable future.
Steenks Service is grateful that it has been able to contribute to this project in conjunction with other innovative manufacturing firms, including Quooker, HTC Parking & Security and Metrohm. Cooperation with knowledge partners, such as The Hague University of Applied Sciences and InnovationQuarter, demonstrates how sharing expertise holds value for accelerating the transition to a circular economy.
Serving as an example in the manufacturing industry
We remain happy to share our experiences and look forward to continuing to build circular chain cooperation with other businesses and partners. Would you like to know more about the Remanufacturing Roadmap? Click here to see the Roadmap.
