Steenks Service introduces two new ground cover sweepers at IPM Essen

For Steenks Service, the new year traditionally starts with international horticultural tradefairs. From 23 till 26 January, the IPM in Essen will take place. Steenks Service will introduce two new machines! Read on to find out which new machines can be seen at the IPM in Essen.

IPM Essen

The IPM trade fair in Essen is an international fair focused on the floricultural industry. There are various companies represented in technology, supplies and products. There are 1,330 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors are expected. At this fair, Steenks Service will present the updated Stefix 135 ground cover sweeper with a high dump system. Furthermore, the new Stefix 73BT will be presented. This is an electric ground cover sweeper. Both machines are improvements on existing machines and therefore new to our assortment.

New Stefix ground cover sweeper with high dump

The Stefix 135 is a sweeper that is suitable to clean-up anti-root cloth cultivation floors. The ride-on sweeper sweeps and vacuums all dirt and (fine) dust with seeds and germs. This leaves the floor clean and gives you less trouble with weeds during the growing season. You also suffer less compaction of the canvas, keeping optimal drainage. Now the Stefix 135 is available with a high dump system. You can now empty the dirt tray automatically from the machine. Previously, you had to dump the bin yourself. Now the high dump system will do this work for you.

Electric Stefix 73 walk-behind ground cover sweeper

Besides the Stefix 135, we also have the Stefix 73 walk-behind ground cover sweeper. This is the smaller version of the Stefix 135 with same functionalities. The Stefix 135 and Stefix 73 are both powered by a powerful Honda petrol engine. This engine works well, but it is powered by fossil fuels. Regarding the point of sustainability, we now introduce the Stefix 73BT. This is an electrically powered sweeper with the same capabilities as the machine powered by a petrol engine. The Stefix 73 includes a powerful 0.6kW 12-volt motor combined with a 118 ah-5h full traction battery.
