Steenks Service travels to Sweden to install a Reisopack 2903

The machines available in our webshop are also sought-after well beyond the borders of the Netherlands, and we often travel abroad for our customers. In the past, we have told you of our business trips to destinations including Slovakia and Japan, and we can now add Sweden to the list. Engineer Martijn recently travelled to a nursery in Lindesberg to install a Reisopack 2903!

Frovi Greenery is a Swedish tomato nursery that has recently been established in Lindesberg. Their new greenhouse, which covers 10 hectares, accommodates tomatoes grown specifically for the Swedish market. This eliminates the need to import tomatoes from abroad. The nursery uses residual heat from industry based nearby to aid its sustainability efforts. The nurseryโ€™s harvesting processes are supported by the Reisopack 2903 strapping machine, purchased specifically for use within an automatic processing line. Our engineer Martijn flew to Sweden for the installation and to explain to the growers exactly how the machine works!

Reisopack 2903 fully automatic strapping machine

The nursery harvests a large volume of tomatoes every single day. With this in mind, the nursery made a deliberate decision to opt for the fully automatic strapping machine so that it could be properly integrated into the automatic processing line. In the line, the boxes of tomatoes are strapped with strapping band on the conveyor belt, so that they can then be safely transported or stored. This process not only helps to minimise the input needed from staff, but also saves considerable time. It also means that staff can remain focused on harvesting the tomatoes.
